Position Title: Business System Analyst
Schedule: Hybrid
Clearance Level: Secret Clearance
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business System Analyst with Secret Clearance to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing business systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of business operations and IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
System Design and Implementation:
Design and recommend solutions to improve business processes and systems.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement and test system enhancements and modifications.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
Project Management:
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, system designs, and user manuals.
Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure all business systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and security requirements.
Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
Proven experience working with business systems and IT projects.
Experience in a government or defense environment is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain higher-level clearances if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
