Overview: We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of HVAC projects in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Ensure all project objectives are clearly defined and communicated to stakeholders.
Project Execution: Oversee the execution of HVAC projects from start to finish, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place. Identify and address potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions as needed.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all HVAC installations meet industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with safety regulations.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address challenges and obstacles to keep projects on track.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and other personnel. Provide guidance, resolve conflicts, and ensure effective collaboration among team members.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and as-built drawings. Ensure all documentation is complete and up to date.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for HVAC installations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, enhance team performance, and increase efficiency in HVAC installations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, HVAC certifications) are a plus.
5+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC projects, including experience with complex HVAC systems and large-scale installations.
Strong understanding of HVAC design, installation, and maintenance practices.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and HVAC design tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
$75,000 - $120,000 a year
