Constriction Controller (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Controller to join our team. The Construction Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the construction division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry and proficiency with Sage accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, job costing, and cash flow management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and update project budgets and forecasts. Provide financial analysis and projections to support decision-making.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, monthly reports, and analysis to senior management. Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Job Costing: Monitor job costs and ensure accurate allocation of costs to projects. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs and provide recommendations for cost control.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry standards, including GAAP. Coordinate and manage audits and tax filings.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Software Utilization: Utilize Sage accounting software for all financial transactions and reporting. Provide training and support to staff on Sage functionalities.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the financial operations of the construction division.
