Responsibilities

  • Work with the Client, field staff, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness of project construction and completion.
  • Execute the Construction Quality Control Plan during the construction phase and monitor performance standards.
  • Prepare daily Production and QC reports and provide them to the Owner's Representative and Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with contract document specifications, Owner’s requirements, and building codes.
  • Develop schedules for submittals with the Project Manager and review for accuracy before forwarding.
  • Implement and monitor the Project Accident Prevention Plan and Activity Hazard Analyses.
  • Serve as Competent and/or Qualified Person for safety activities and maintain a safe construction site.
  • Provide full-time field support to ensure operations are conducted safely.
  • Interface with Government Safety & Health Officer on site safety issues and complete required safety report forms.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ combined experience in roles such as QCM, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on Federal Projects.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Construction/Quality Control Manager on Government projects.
  • 5 years’ experience as a Safety Officer on construction projects.
  • Clearable status required.
  • Preferred prior experience in Quality Control across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural scopes.
  • Prior experience as the CQC Manager on Federal projects is required.
  • Willingness to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir.

This position requires candidates to obtain a clearance in the future.
This position works on site at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

    • Work in conjunction with the Client, field staff and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and timeliness of project construction and completion.
    • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA
    • Have the full responsibility for the execution of the Construction Quality Control Plan during the construction phase of the project
    • Monitor performance standards and coordinate all required testing with the Owner’s Representative
    • Prepare all required Production and QC reports on a daily basis and will provide copies of the reports to the Owner’s Representative and to the Project Manager.
    • Ensure the project is built within contract document specifications, Owner’s requirements, and comply with local, state and federal building codes.
    • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop a schedule for submittals, and to review all submittals for accuracy and completeness, prior to forwarding them to the Design Team and Government for final approval.
    • Work as a member of the Project Team, including subcontractors, to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring of the provisions of the Project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
    • Serve as “Competent and/or Qualified Person” for activities including, but not necessarily limited to; Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Scaffolds/Work Platforms, Lead Hazards, Hot Work, and Excavation.
    • Maintain a safe construction site through direction and training of workers, providing PPE and safety equipment and written documentation to maintain accountability of sub-contractor work force.
    • Provide full-time support in the field, on the construction projects, to assure operations are planned and conducted in a safe manner.
    • Interface with Government Safety & Health Officer on site safety & health issues and coordinate preventative measures.
    • Complete Field Safety & Health Report forms and submit as required to Government.

Requirements

    • 10+ years’ combined experience as a QCM, Project Manager, Project Engineer and/or Construction Manager on Federal Projects.
    • 5+ years’ experience as a Construction/Quality Control Manager on Government projects
    • Five (5) years’ experience as a Safety Officer on construction projects.
    • Clearable
    • Prior experience in Quality Control with the following scope preferred: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural.
    • Prior experience working as the CQC Manager on Federal projects, or prior work for the Federal Government in their Quality Control program is required.
    • Willingness to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir
