Controller (Public Accounting or Software Industry Experience)

Summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and preparing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis efforts, providing strategic recommendations based on financial data and market trends.
• Manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and optimizing working capital.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

• Strong background in Public Accounting or the Software/SaaS industry.
• Experience in financial operations management.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
