We are on the lookout for a passionate Finance and Compliance Coordinator to support our financial and Medicare compliance operations, with a particular emphasis on accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). This is a remote, part-time position working 25 hours a week. You would need to be available within our core working hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, to ensure sufficient cross-over with the team.
πA Day in the Life
Your day as a Finance and Compliance Coordinator will be filled with opportunities to support the financial landscape of our fast-paced start-up, along with ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations. Your contributions will be instrumental in the continued success of our mission. πππΌ
Financial Support:
- Assist in the management of Accounts Payable by entering vendor bills, reviewing AP aging, recording payments.
- Assist in the management of Accounts Receivable by preparing invoices, matching vendor payments, setup of new customer details.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support budget planning and monitoring activities.
Marketing Compliance Support:
- Aid in ensuring company compliance with marketing and healthcare regulations and standards.
- Stay informed about relevant Medicare laws and regulations.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support preparations for external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Support internal coordination for company submissions to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial and compliance reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, including assets, opt-ins, policies, procedures, and audit reports. Ensure documentation is organized and easily accessible for internal and external audits.

As a Finance and Compliance Coordinator, your unique qualifications and characteristics are vital to our team's success. You are/possess:
- Basic knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Experience with AP and AR.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Excel, Word, and Google Docs/Sheets is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Not required, but preferred, Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or working towards completion).
- Relevant internships or coursework in finance or compliance is a plus.
- Experience working in a remote environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development.
