Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial aspects of grant administration, including tracking and reporting on grant expenditures and ensuring compliance with grant agreements and donor restrictions.
  • Prepare and submit grant financial reports to funders and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor and reconcile grant accounts to ensure funds are used in accordance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
  • Manage revenue recognition processes for all income sources, including grants, donations, and other funding streams.
  • Ensure proper recording of revenue and support the development of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reconcile revenue accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to grants and revenue for management and board review.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses related to grants and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to grants and revenue.
  • Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on grants management and non-profit accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, grant management practices, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Financial Edge).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
