Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions to improve manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and increase efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Technical Analysis: Analyze current manufacturing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. Evaluate technical requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
Solution Design: Design and develop technical solutions to enhance manufacturing operations. This includes automation systems, process optimization, and integration of new technologies.
Implementation: Oversee the implementation of technical solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure successful deployment.
Project Management: Manage technical projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, set milestones, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues. Diagnose problems, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve production quality.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of technical solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Training: Provide training and support to manufacturing staff on new systems and processes. Ensure team members are knowledgeable and capable of using new technologies effectively.
Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Compliance: Ensure all technical solutions comply with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on technical solutions and process improvement.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and process optimization.
Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, PLC programming, MES).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
