This position requires an active secret clearance.
This position is 75% travel and 25% PTO / Time Off.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead AV Technician to oversee and execute the installation and maintenance of advanced AV systems for federal clients. This leadership role involves 75% national travel to federal sites and requires a current Secret security clearance. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Extron and Crestron systems, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional technical solutions and customer service.

Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Oversight:
    • Lead and manage a team of AV technicians, providing direction, support, and training to ensure high-quality installations and maintenance.
    • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan and execute AV system installations effectively.
    • Installation & Setup:
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of complex AV systems, including Extron and Crestron, ensuring all work meets project specifications and client expectations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely, ensuring systems are fully operational and perform at optimal levels.
    • Project Management:
    • Develop and manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure timely and successful completion of AV projects.
    • Prepare detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and risk assessments.
    • Client Interaction:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients, addressing their AV needs and ensuring satisfaction with installed systems.
    • Provide expert guidance and training to clients on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of installation processes, system configurations, and service activities.
    • Generate and present reports on project status, system performance, and any issues encountered, providing recommendations for improvements as needed.
    • Compliance & Security:
    • Ensure all work complies with federal regulations and security protocols, adhering to relevant guidelines and standards.
    • Safeguard sensitive information and maintain confidentiality in line with Secret clearance requirements.

Requirements

    • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent technical certification; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AV system installation and support, with a strong background in Extron and Crestron systems.
    • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an AV or technical environment.
