Position Overview:
The Manager of Accounting and Financial Systems will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Management Reporter, and will be able to leverage these systems to optimize financial reporting and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Financial Systems: Oversee the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Management Reporter, ensuring systems are functioning optimally and meet the company's financial needs.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and increase overall efficiency within the finance department.
Financial Reporting: Lead the development and generation of financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
System Integration: Work closely with IT and other departments to integrate financial systems with other business applications, ensuring seamless data flow and reporting.
Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to finance team members and other stakeholders in the use of financial systems and reporting tools.
Project Management: Lead and participate in financial system projects, including upgrades, implementations, and other enhancements.
Compliance and Control: Ensure that all financial systems are compliant with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and support external audits as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial systems management, with at least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Management Reporter.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Management Reporter, and other financial reporting tools. Familiarity with SQL and data analytics is a plus.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across departments.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
