We are seeking a highly skilled Master Scheduler with extensive experience in shipbuilding and Navy programs, possessing an active clearance, to join our team. This role is pivotal in coordinating and optimizing schedules for complex shipbuilding projects, ensuring alignment with program goals, milestones, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

    • Schedule Development and Management:
    • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) for Navy shipbuilding programs, incorporating all phases from design through delivery.
    • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish project timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements.
    • Monitor schedule performance, identify potential risks or delays, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
    • Resource Allocation and Optimization:
    • Coordinate with functional leads to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to support schedule requirements.
    • Conduct capacity planning and scenario analysis to optimize resource utilization and ensure alignment with program priorities.
    • Evaluate and recommend schedule adjustments based on resource availability, budget constraints, and changing program requirements.
    • Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Generate schedule performance metrics, progress reports, and variance analyses to track project milestones and identify deviations from baseline plans.
    • Provide regular updates to program management and stakeholders on schedule status, critical path activities, and potential impacts on project outcomes.
    • Implement earned value management (EVM) principles to assess schedule performance against cost and schedule baselines.
    • Risk Management and Mitigation:
    • Identify schedule risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain program continuity.
    • Conduct schedule risk assessments (SRA) and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of risks on project timelines and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure proactive management of schedule-related issues.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Extensive experience (3+ years) as a Master Scheduler in shipbuilding or defense-related industries, with specific knowledge of Navy acquisition processes and programs.
    • Active clearance (Secret or higher) required; familiarity with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) clearance preferred.
    • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
