Requirements

The Quality Manager will oversee and direct all quality assurance activities to ensure that our manufacturing processes and products comply with federal standards and NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management within a federal manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in NADCAP accreditation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

    • Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to federal and NADCAP standards.
    • NADCAP Compliance: Ensure all processes, products, and systems meet NADCAP requirements. Prepare for and manage NADCAP audits, ensuring successful accreditation and maintaining certifications.
    • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase operational efficiency.
    • Quality Control: Oversee inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products to verify conformance with specifications and standards.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and reports. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality metrics and non-conformances.
    • Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and concerns. Work closely with customers to resolve quality issues and enhance satisfaction.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance. Implement changes as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement across departments.

Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA) preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a federal manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with NADCAP accreditation and compliance.
    • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of NADCAP requirements, federal regulations, and quality management systems. Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing processes is a plus.
    • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
    • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Certifications: NADCAP auditor certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
