Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards before reaching the customer. This role is focused on maintaining compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and company policies. A strong background in the manufacturing industry is essential, and experience with aircraft coating or painting processes is a significant advantage. The Quality Manager will lead the quality assurance team, manage audits, and work closely with production to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems: Establish and maintain robust quality systems and procedures that meet ISO standards and industry-specific requirements, particularly in aircraft coating and painting.
    • Lead Quality Assurance Team: Oversee quality assurance personnel, provide training, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations.
    • Monitor Manufacturing Processes: Collaborate with the production team to ensure quality standards are met at each stage of the manufacturing process, with a focus on preventing defects and ensuring compliance with aircraft coating specifications.
    • Audit and Inspection: Conduct internal and external audits, including supplier audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant certifications.
    • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve non-conformities.
    • Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints related to quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and implementing corrective measures.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on quality metrics, defects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement of products and processes through Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with all industry regulations, particularly related to aircraft painting and coating processes.
    • Supplier Quality Management: Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials meets specified standards and manage supplier quality audits.
