This is a remote position.
Job Summary:
As a Remote HVACR Technician and Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to customers, troubleshooting hot and cold side kitchen equipment issues over the phone, and assisting junior technicians in developing their skills. This remote position aims to deliver efficient problem-solving solutions to clients while also contributing to the improvement of technical knowledge within the organization. Additionally, you will manage parts orders and maintain online inventory through the CRM system.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Support:
Provide remote technical support to customers facing issues with hot and cold side kitchen equipment.
Walk customers through troubleshooting steps over the phone to identify and resolve problems.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to HVACR systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
2. Training and Mentorship:
Mentor and train junior technicians to enhance their technical skills.
Share knowledge and best practices to help junior technicians gain field experience.
Develop training materials and resources to facilitate the learning process.
3. Parts Ordering and Inventory Management:
Manage parts orders for equipment repairs, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
Maintain accurate records of parts inventory using the CRM system.
Collaborate with the procurement team to restock inventory as needed.
4. Customer Communication:
Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor while communicating with customers.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing timely updates on service requests.
5. Documentation:
Accurately document service calls, technical solutions, and training progress.
Create and update manuals, guides, and troubleshooting documentation as required.
6. Technical Expertise:
Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and HVACR equipment advancements.
Continuously expand and deepen knowledge of hot and cold side kitchen equipment.
7. Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other remote technicians and field service teams to resolve complex issues.
Share insights and feedback to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Retired HVACR technician with extensive experience in hot and cold side kitchen equipment.
Strong technical expertise in HVACR systems and troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Patience and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical individuals.
Strong mentoring and training abilities.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and inventory management tools.
Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
Willingness to stay updated on industry developments and adapt to evolving technologies.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
HVACR certification or relevant technical training (preferred).
Several years of hands-on experience as an HVACR technician.
Prior experience in a training or mentorship role is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This is a remote position that requires a stable internet connection.
