Residential CAD Drafter

Job Summary: 

The CAD Drafter with Residential and Revit experience is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for residential construction projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of residential building design and construction processes. This is a 6 month contract to hire and has hybrid flexibility after 6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design:
• Create detailed architectural and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for residential projects.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details according to project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Project Coordination:
• Assist in the coordination of design development and construction document preparation.
• Review and interpret design sketches, notes, and other input materials to create accurate and comprehensive drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Documentation and Revision:
• Maintain organized project files, including all drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers, architects, and engineers.
• Generate and manage drawing sets for permit applications and construction.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct thorough checks of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or conflicts in design and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on constructability and design improvements.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support and assistance to the design and construction teams.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to residential drafting and design.
• Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

$30 - $40 an hour
