Senior AV Technician

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior AV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both new installation work and the commissioning/setup of advanced audio-visual systems, with specific expertise in Crestron and Biamp systems. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and the ability to lead and mentor junior technicians. Candidates schedule 4 day 10 hour shifts and company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

• Installation:
• Lead and perform new installations of advanced audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, control systems, and other AV peripherals.
• Run and terminate cables, including HDMI, Ethernet, and audio cables, ensuring neat and organized wiring.
• Mount and secure AV equipment on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to safety standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and other trades to integrate AV systems into larger construction projects.
• Commissioning and Setup:
• Conduct testing and calibration of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Program and configure Crestron and Biamp control systems to meet user requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase to ensure all systems are fully operational.
• Provide training and support to end-users on the operation of AV systems.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of installed AV systems to ensure ongoing reliability.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
• Leadership and Mentoring:
• Lead and mentor junior AV technicians, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and best practices for AV installations and setups.
• Documentation and Communication:
• Create detailed reports and documentation for each project, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers to ensure project goals are met and client satisfaction is achieved.

$25 - $40 an hour
