Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and GitLab.
Excellent communication skills and customer service attitude.

LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in the Las Vegas or Greater Los Angeles area of the United States, working in hours that align to PT (Pacific Timezone).

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, deploy, and manage the infrastructure that our client’s applications run on. This role will be responsible for supporting the technology delivery team in acting as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure to architect and then (using Infrastructure as Code platforms) to build and operate app platforms at scale.

This is a contract position till Feb, 2025 with potential for extension.

What You'll Do:

Create and update Terraform scripts to deliver automated IaC solutions.
Oversee and optimize AWS Lambda scripts and deployments.
Manage and maintain Kubernetes (K8s) clusters for container orchestration.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, infrastructure and frameworks to ensure our systems/processes follow market standards.
Work in a small team environment within a large, stable, and successful company that is growing fast.
Deploy new and existing applications to production and lower environments as per the release schedule.
Investigate uptime issues and help support applications in all environments

What You'll Need:

5+ years of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of network topology and creating & organizing secure network communications between different resources in a virtual private cloud (VPC) based on client & security requirements.
Understanding of Terraform or another IaC languageUnderstanding of AWS strongly preferred, but equivalent GCP or Azure experience is good.
Experience with building/deploying/managing AWS, GCP, or AzureStrong experience with CI/CD and tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and GitLab.
Ability to provide expert opinion on infrastructure monitoring tooling and best practices.
Experience working with containerized microservice applications.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security practices.
Ability to analyze metrics from distributed applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
Experience with Agile processes, testing, and code review.
Strong experience with scripting - shell, Python, etc.
Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
