In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full scope and delivery of one or more projects, working with a global team of elite professionals leveraging some of the most innovative technologies in the cloud space.  You will have the opportunity to work with leading companies to design and implement solutions that have real impact, while helping grow Virtasant's presence in Northern California.

Since this role will be focused on our clients in the Bay Area and will require regular visits to client offices, candidates must be based in Northern California (Bay Area).
 

Responsibilities

    • Act as the primary point of accountability for all assigned projects.  You will own the overall success of each project you lead.
    • Work closely with stakeholders and others in managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to clients.
    • Establish clear, effective communication and reporting mechanisms based on delivering tangible client value and successful outcomes.
    • Manage global teams of Virtasant professionals to delight our clients and provide our people with rewarding, challenging work.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to drive improvement in clients' technology and processes.
    • Become a trusted advisor and partner to our clients, helping them be successful while also helping our company grow.

Requirements

    • Significant experience (5+ years) managing complex software engineering projects as part of a consulting or professional services organization.
    • Have an engineering background to understand technical requirements and how to get to them from business requirements.
    • A track record of success managing client relationships, resolving client issues, and driving growth through delivery.
    • Experience in building and establishing support processes from the ground up within cross-departmental teams.
    • Natural ability to quickly adapt to changes in requirements and direction.
    • Familiarity with the “Big 3” cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their product suites.
    • A strong understanding of leading project and program management methodologies (Agile, etc.) and principles.
    • Experience establishing project management metrics, tracking, and reporting for organizations and projects of various sizes.
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
