Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in ERP systems to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation. This role requires a strong background in accounting, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to manage complex financial processes.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
ERP System Utilization: Leverage ERP systems to streamline accounting processes, improve accuracy, and enhance financial reporting. Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP modules related to accounting.
Account Reconciliation: Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Ensure all deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making and financial planning.
Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules and assist with internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of financial data and processes. Provide training and support to team members on ERP system usage.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong understanding of how ERP systems support accounting functions.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with other financial software tools.
