Azure Infrastructure Engineer (Secret Clearance Required)

Job Summary: 

The Azure Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the efficient deployment and operation of cloud services, while optimizing performance and ensuring security and compliance. This position is remote 3 days per week, Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Azure Infrastructure Design and Deployment:
• Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure Azure infrastructure solutions.
• Implement and manage virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and other Azure services.
• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and management using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• System Administration and Maintenance:
• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Azure infrastructure.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement and manage Azure security best practices, including network security groups, identity and access management, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications and services.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on Azure infrastructure and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
